January 16, 2018
Hand-N-Hand of Northeastern Wisconsin raised $33,000 during the “Silent Night Casino Royale” fundraising event on January 6, 2018. The funds raised enables the continuation of quality educational programming as well as promoting awareness and outreach support to children who are deaf and hard of hearing, their families and the community throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
Hand-N-Hand is the only nonprofit in Northeastern WI that offers specialized services to deaf and hard of hearing children and families. “Hand-N-Hand began as a playgroup in 2002 and our programs continue to evolve to meet the unique needs of Northeast Wisconsin,” said Jenny Geiken, founder and program director for Hand-N-Hand. “The outpouring of community support allows Hand-N-Hand to continue to fulfill our mission while providing exceptional services. Thank you to everyone who joined us to champion the cause.”
In addition to music, casino events, dinner, live and silent auctions, Hand-N-Hand presented its annual ‘Making a Difference Award’ to Michelle Kihntopf. The award recognizes a person or group for their dedication and ongoing support to children with hearing loss. “The Green Bay community and Hand-N-Hand are extremely lucky to have such an invaluable resource and we thank Michelle for her sustained dedication and commitment to families and children with hearing loss,” Geiken said.
