Activities are presented using sign and spoken language. This is a great time for families who are just beginning to use sign language to practice their skills. While interacting with their children, parents have the opportunity to learn about hearing loss, discover resources, and support each other through chatting with parents, professionals, and members associated with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. SUMMARY:Parent Power Hour (PPH)   Spring 2026
DESCRIPTION:Registration required for&amp;#160;each&amp;#160;participant by 1/16/26;&amp;#160;register once and you are registered for the 9-week session.&amp;#160; PARENT POWER HOUR offers two (2) interactive learning opportunities where families will learn sign language, converse about how ASL is used within their routines and develop ASL skills. Learn signs, culture, have real conversations, get feedback and have fun!&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Groups are held simultaneously with DHH Playgroups.&amp;#160; Participants may choose to attend one or both of the sessions each night.&amp;#160;&amp;#160;6:30-7:00pm - Intro and review of basic sign vocabulary and culture (for&amp;#160;new signers &amp;#38; those who want review)7:00-7:30pm - In depth use&amp;#160;of ASL&amp;#160;(for&amp;#160;experienced signers &amp;#38; those who want a challenge)PPH is open to HNH families; 9&amp;#160;week cost is $35/per person.&amp;#160; Facilitator: Leanne Helmrich
